Towbar

Hello everyone!
I am interested in installing a towbar. Does anyone of you perhaps have one? If so how is it mounted bolted, or welded? How does it work during use? Do you have the original hook, and if so then which company it is? Did you buy it somewhere else and only the installation and wiring were done by the service? I am interested in Thule or Westfalia hooks. I would appreciate any advice you can give me.

Hi, I am also thinking about a towbar as I have recently sold my L200. You must use the Mazda wiring harness to get the various bits of software to behave as they should, also make sure whoever fits the towbar is authorised to do so, as if a mishap occurs you might need a paper trail to verify the correct bolts etc. were used.

I asked in the dealership about a towbar once. Apparently, if it obscures the fog(?) light they have to fit a new rear bumper with a split light.

Ours has that little light that dangles down below the bumper.

I have the Mazda one, fitted by the dealership when I got the car. It is a removable swan neck and when not mounted there is a small panel that fits into the bumper underside that hides everything. The elctrics are on a spring load brackets that swings down when the towing neck is pushed in and home.
When the neck isn't mounted, you cannot tell I have a tow bar on the car.
