Hi mount cycle rack
« on: May 31, 2011, 11:21:00 AM »
Howdy people

Trying to get one and it appears the nobody has tested the new 3's

has anybody bought one?

I only found one topic on the forum about it and there was no definitive answer.

I'd ideally like one that holds and separates 3 bikes, so that they don't scratch the life out of each other when mounted.

Must be hi mount as I'm not buggering about with light boards and the like.

i have a halfo*ds bike rack fitted to my mk1 mazda 3 and its a brilliant bit of kit.
it will hold up to 3 bikes, really easy to fit and doesnt scratch the car when putting it on or off the car.
it cost me about £75 in the "sale".
all you do is select the correct fitting kit thats in the box for your car.
the first initial set up will take you about half an hour, but after that it goes on in seconds every time.
all you do is connect the top and bottom fixing arms to the tailgate then just push the locking levers shut and its fitted.
rear windows tinted black, carbon fibre pillar trims, stainless steel scuff plates, led interior roof bulbs, led number plate bulbs and piano black handbrake lever handle + leather gaitor.blue alloy tax disc holder, badges painted metallic black, silver painted dash and console, carbon stubby aerial

Does it provide adequate separating for several bikes? So they dont scratch each other :)

i have only fitted 2 bikes.
the 2 arms that hold the bikes have rubber blocks that slide up or down each arm so you adjust the spacing to what ever your desire/requirements.
+ it also has straps that keeps the bikes secure
hope this helps
