2nd Gen 150 Sport Front Bumper Removal.
« on: November 14, 2010, 09:55:25 PM »
Has anyone removed the front bumper from a 2nd gen 3 sport?  I am wanting to design a mesh screen to fit behind the lower plastic grill in the bumper to protect the radiator thingy ma jig that sits there, have spotted quite a bit of stone damage to the cooling fins  ???

Any help appreciated  :)

Thanks

Neil

i wouldnt advise doing that its the intercooler for your turbo, mazda have made it like that for a reason, only the deisels have this, the petrols have a solid one
USED TO HAVE: MAZDA 3 1.6 SPORT NAV IN ALUMINUM WITH EIBACH SPRINGS AND CUSTOM CORKSPORT SRI INTAKE

NOW HAVE: 1. MX5 MK1 1.8 IN BRITISH RACING GREEN LOTS OF MODS
                 2. MAZDA MX5 SPORT BLACK IN WHITE NO 384 OF 500 EIBACH SPRINGS, K&N PANEL FILTER & LOTS OF LITTLE BITS

Hi Samp, yes I have since spoken to a Subaru/Ford mechanic friend who told me what this is, but due to the mesh size I was thinking of using he also said that the reduction in airflow would be minimal if any at all.

Thanks for your views though  ;)
