painting alloys?

Does anybody know if painted alloys would be classed as a modification? was thinking of getting mines refurbed and tinted/darkened

i wouldnt think so.. as long as the alloy design is the same, it wouldn't be any different from the stock alloys.

I know a great shop in Swindon, Wiltshire that is owned and run by auto enthusiests. I can get you thier information if you want.

i told my old insurence company when i added painted alloys and stripes onto my mums old swift and the price didnt go up, so i dont think they are clased as modifications!
USED TO HAVE: MAZDA 3 1.6 SPORT NAV IN ALUMINUM WITH EIBACH SPRINGS AND CUSTOM CORKSPORT SRI INTAKE

NOW HAVE: 1. MX5 MK1 1.8 IN BRITISH RACING GREEN LOTS OF MODS
                 2. MAZDA MX5 SPORT BLACK IN WHITE NO 384 OF 500 EIBACH SPRINGS, K&N PANEL FILTER & LOTS OF LITTLE BITS

Cheers, only problem is i live between aberdeen and inverness lol ;D I think there's a place in Elgin im gonna try. Dont know if anybody knows of any other places this far north?
