Ha ! Ha ! Ha!
« on: November 05, 2007, 01:14:44 AM »

Well now I've stopped laughing, I didn't know quite where to post this, but as it involved a Mazda 2 I thought this was as good a place as any.

I went out today for a photoshoot at a local National Trust property and was making my way home. It was about 3.15 so it was still light. In my mirrors I could see a car with his lights on main beam being an absolute prat and dangerously overtaking other cars behind me. This continued until I reached a junction with the A14. I turned down the slip road and matey boy followed me. I merged into the traffic and accelerated to about 80mph. Then this '57 plate Mazda 2 (Lightboy) comes alongside and gives me a one finger salute and guns it.
Now Mazda or not nobody does that to me.

As I passed him at errrrr,,  well,, lets say over 100mph I returned the compliment and changed up into 5th.          I didn't see much of him after that. Just a set of receding headlights which strangley enough turned off shortly afterwards.
Normality returned Mazda 3 rules............................................ Sorry got to go now,  I'm going to start laughing again.

Having calmed down a bit now, I just don't understand why some people have to be such prats. I'm all for cameraderie and always acknowledge other Mazda 3's when I see them. But to drive dangerously as he was and to give an abusive signal like that is just not warranted.

I have been driving for over 40years and still don't know what makes some people behave that way.

Ok I'll get off my soapbox now  :-[ :-\

Yes, I know what you mean.  Idiots like him are just jealous of anyone driving a nice looking motor.  At least you have the knowledge that you had the last laugh mate! :)

I did manage to get on to the 'mazda2forums' site last Monday, but since it has been unavailable.  Is it up and running properly yet ?

I am seriously considering exchanging my Corolla for a MAzda 2.  The site did look pretty good !!!

What a pleb! My bro just blows someone a kiss when they do that. Better than fingers, swearing etc. Try it and watch their reaction.

My brother had someone tailing him for miles and miles with no reason when he was in his evo. My bro was driving normally as his wife was in the car, not doing anything un-natural or illegal. The bloke tailing him was flashing lights and beeping his horn and tailgating. Seriously dangerous driving. They pulled up to some lights and my bro asked what their problem was to which they replied;

'you think you are so cool in your fast car'. My bro then said he was driving to the nearest police station to report him for dangerous driving! The lad then lost it even more. Followed him a bit more then turned off!

Some people are just mental, no reason for the attitude at all!
