hi guys, just a quick update of how the number plate holders coming along, today i have taken off the tape screwed on the supports on the back for rigidity and now i am fiberglassing it in to shape , here are a few pics






now u can sorta see it taking shape, tomorow i am going to shape it and smooth the whole thing with body filler then sand to flush and prime it, watch this space for updates :)

dunno if u can see from my photos but i have a GIANT work shop at my house in my garage and i have prety much a tool for everything and most fillers hardners and paint laying around but i know u can get it from b&q or halfords. when it is finished i might make a how to guide for other ppl to have a go if there feelin handy lol
my next project for the evenings after the numberplate holder is sum engine bay dress.

now that would be telling lol i will of course update as and when i get round to doing it lol 2mrow the number plate holder just needs the last few imperfections sanding off 1 more coat of black then a couple of coats of laqure then shud be ready to go on the car :)

nice work matey, but i carnt help but think a trip to ebay would do all the hard work for you ;) but still looking good! carnt wait to see it on the car :D!

                 2. MAZDA MX5 SPORT BLACK IN WHITE NO 384 OF 500 EIBACH SPRINGS, K&N PANEL FILTER & LOTS OF LITTLE BITS

Hi , In answer to the questions i am only havin a stab at it coz i like to make things and ive got all the stuff just layin around so if it duz all turn out wrong i will pop on ebay and c wot i can find, also i am using grey primer and metalic black paint :)

Did you mange to get the front plate holder off by unscrewing it from the back without taking the bumper off?

it should be rivited in place, the best thing to do is drill them out, then afterwards fix it on with self tappers at an odd angle!

that plate holder is a good idea but your work is awful its about as smooth as sandpaper
