the adjuster handle (raise & lower seat adjuster) has jammed and the seat will not lower, any ideas how to reset the mechanism, i suspect the seat may have tobe removed?

i've got the same problem on mine, i was sat that high i felt like a was driving a 4 x 4, i managed to move the seat down by pulling the handle away from the seat and then moving the lever up and down eventually the handle started to grip the mechanism, it doesn't always work but i stuck at it and now the seat is at the bottom position

We had this same problem, I sort of solved it by figuring out how the mechanism works, it's a toothed cog, or gear, and each time the handle is operated up or down a little toothed key operates the cog and indexes it a fraction, up or down accordingly, the problem lies in that the key moves in and out to grip The cog and index it, it's actuated by a nylon finger that must wear, our seat got stuck at the uppermost position so I stuck my head under the seat with a torch and screwdriver and with the Mrs Sat on the seat returning the lever and me indexing the cog we got the seat back to the low position.
