Hello eveyone, im a new and proud owner of a 3 2.0d sport on 09 plate. I cant believe how great the spec is on the 3. I was looking to buy an audi a3 or a golf but i saw the 3 and it was a no brainer considering the price differance. You get so much more for your money with mazda. Anyway im very happy with it so far. Anyone got an idea on getting the 2.0d remapped?

Hi I've just bought a MK1 2.0d Sport too, I've been looking around the net and it would seem the ECU on the 2.0d can't be remapped, looks like Mazda have locked it somehow, I called CelticTuning and asked them and they said they can't remap it, which is a shame as everyone I know who has a TD engine'd car gets them remapped by them!

I've done a bit of digging around and all is not lost, do a serach for chipexpress on Google, they offer a plug in solution which gets very good results, its a pretty impressive looking piece of kit, has a good warrenty and is adjustable from  171bhp to 195bhp with a large boost in torque and an increase in MPG, they are setup for each different engine (unlike cheaper ones which are one size fits all), you can even have them re-programed if you sell your car and buy a different one!

I am defo getting one when I have a spare 360 quid!  Grin

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome.

I think i will leave the chipping and re mapping for the moment although the re map box looks pretty good. Its great jumping into the sport after a day of driving a van. You cant really help but give it some beans  Grin
