mazda 2 clutch pedal clicks on depression

i have a 1.3 ts2 mazda 2 09 plate. when pressing in the clutch pedal there is a feeling of a "clicking" on the pedal. anyone else experienced this?

Yes had the very same problem on a 2 Sport that I had earlier this year and it is reported in some detail on the Mazda 2 forum ;D
