Wife has got one in Dragon Green, it drives as good as it looks. A truly amazing machine, I would get yourself one straight away.

Sorry, but I liked the look in mags but didn't like it all in the flesh. The rear end, well, every woman's behind would look big in one of those.

3s are too common (or will be). She wants something quirky and rare, like the Cooper S was 6 yrs ago when she had it!

She actually likes the 2 better than the 3. If they bring out a 2MPS within the next 12 months, who knows?!?  ;D

Scirroco is nice enough, but I find it a bit boring now after seeing so many.

The scrirroco is simply a Golf GTI with different body panels but with the same engines, chassis, gear box and few other items..

Personally.. i wouldnt bother with it..  :-[

Completley agree. Looks like it has been flattened. Loved it in the masgs but in the metal not a fan at all.

You must be a bit misinformed there, the scirrocco is part golf/part passat. Is has a passat rear axle, which gives it the wider stance.

But if you like a drivers car, this is the one. It is by far the best car I have ever driven, absolutely amazing.

I can count on one hand the ones I've seen on the road up here. They must not have reached the Midlands yet!!!

Just as both the Bentley Conti GT and Flying Spur ar both on the D1 Phaeton platform... I know I'd take the GT given the chance!

Thanks for all your input. The back end is rather low and wide but i like it. It looks well Squat and purposeful! Plus, looking at the OTR prices, with options that it comes with as standard, it is very comparible to the golf's prices.

Gotta get a drive in one yet. Both VW garages by us only have showroom models.   :(

Don't get me wrong I think it's a nice car, it's just that when I first saw one I thought it looked amazing and so different, I guess getting use to seeing them takes away the wow factor. I think colour is a big factor, blue and black are a no no, white or green look way better.

Well, its only an idea at the moment. Its the first car that she has liked enough to consider swapping the mini for! Looking at either the 2.0 Tfsi 210bhp (up from 200 next month) or the 1.4 (160bhp) turbo/super engine.
I know they're not the quickest but thats waht the MPS is for!  ;) Its more the looks than the power that she is after. Plus the 1.4 is £165 for 12 months tax and only gp12 insurance.
