Sorry to hear that daz31168daz, but lets hope the dealer has cured it in one visit ;D

Mine still appears to be OK since I did it in September, so keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way ;D

I've got the same problem in my MPS...drives me mad!

Was just gonna stick it back in the dealers but they are so USELESS I'll give it a wee squirt of WD40 first and see how it goes.

Hello Again daz31168daz,

Well the creak got so bad it was driving me crazy so had a go at lubing the area that Mazda have identified as being the problem, although the car is due into the garage on the 28th Sept and what do you know, the creak has gone. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Will leave it for a few days before I cancel the dealer visit :-\ as I don't like anyone messing about with my motor at the best of times.

My fix was to spray WD where the seat mounting joins the hight adjusting lever and the creak went immediately, see photos and hope they help ;D

Will let you know if it cures the creak long term.

Just an update guys on the drivers seat creak that I had in September 09 and cured with WD40, I am pleased to report that I am still creak free. ;D ;D
Mileage covered todate is 7,200 miles and all's going well, what a great car this  2009 1.6 Sport is. ;D ;D

My two front seats have started to creak so i am going to lube the points that google09 has suggested, the photos that you have posted are they the front of the seat or the back of the seat?

I found that the only way i can stop the creaking is to put a cloth between the seat pad and the plastic trim that surrounds it, but it looks crap so anyone know a better solution?
