Might come to Europe as you can always sell a hot hatch over here. Couldn't see the Americans buying such as small car though!

Its an American article and clearly states it 'probably won't hit US shores'.  We will get it for sure here!!!  It would compete with the Renault Clio 192, Ford Fiesta ST, Peugeot 107 GTI, VW Polo GTI, Vauxhall Corsa VXR and the Seat Ibiza Cupra thingy.  With all the competition having a hot version of all their key vehicles Mazda would be stupid not to bring it to the UK.  However it just isn't big enough for American taste.

When i was in the dealers buying my car 2 months ago i was chatting with the salesman. The 2 had just come out or was coming out and he was telling me that they were making a 2 mps. He also claimed it would have about 230bhp.

Time will tell but i hope so.

Mixed information...

One says 1.5L 170bhp, the other says 2.0L and 230bhp.

My moneys on the 170bhp, otherwise they will price and power themselves too high in the market.
(although I bet it would be fun!)  ;D

That puts it in the same league as the Mitsubishi Colt CZT, 1.5 Turbo at 150bhp. But the looks are much better!

I agree, the 170bhp is more likely, BUT if they could do the 230bhp one and keep the price down, they would run the Frenchies and Ford out of the market!

if that comes with 230HP that will be a beast! Especially with its size, BHP/Ton would be immense! Suppose it is all about waiting to see what actualluy appears.
Who needs 4 wheels when you have 2??? Bike it baby!!!!
