How old are you Bear? (that sounds like a crap chat up line).
Just renewed my Sports insurance, £330 with £150 excess and full no claims. Not in a rough area but parked on the street.

Im with Swiftcover.com too. I paid £350 with £250+£250 excess.  Adding the missus reduced it by £100 from the original quote.

The renewall is now due and I've had a prang during last year so been offered £580 renewall.  Wish I'd gone for a better excess but the prang was well beyond £500, so was worth paying. Im now on a hunt to improve on the renewall.

I think I'm paying just over a grand but that's with only 8 months left on the policy as I swapped it from my previous car. 21, 0NCB, and an at fault claim worth 16k means insurance isn't so kind to me.

Mine is up mid march so have started looking. Best so far is aviva.
£350 with £500 excess and protected no claims. I'm 29 and will have 8yrs ncd at renewal.
That's also with the Cobb Sri and rx8 wheels declared.
I thought that was a bargain.

Not had my renewal yet but they always try to take the piss hoping your too lazy to change or check to see if they are over priced.

Ive been shopping around for insurance since i got my renewal letter, and now since i got laid off before christmas i have to tick the unemployed box cheapest quote when i tick unemployed box is £3957 if i tick employed cheapest is £2244(still more than i paid last year). How does it make any difference? il be using the car less, and if thats the cheapest people can do i wont be able to afford to insure it until i get a job again :/

Does unemployed make you a bad driver?  Unless you spend the afternoon in the pub then drive home!   Huh?

Apparently the W**kers who have been unemployed their whole lives and can work but dont want to ruin for us genuine unemployed by making fraud and false claims for insurance, and since im still in the insurance boy racers category and unemployed im a huge risk to them :/

That is a crazy price!!! Either of them to be fair. I suppose they will argue that if you don't work then you can spend a lot more of your waking hours driving the car. If you drive it for wok then you need works insurance... Still crazy.

I have to ask sorry, how old are you? And do you have points etc, this seems like a silly price. Have you tried Adrian Flux?

I always pay my insurance in a lump sum, my current insurance cost me £2100 payed it all in one go as i would do with the next lot of insurance i get so just cos im unemployed doesn't mean i cant afford to insure the car :/. I even put mileage down to 2 thousand and still never dropped the quote, im going to phone admiral who im with now as they quoted me £1800 but with me been employed so i dont know how much that will go up when i tel them im unemployed:/. Adrian flux wuldnt insure me because they didn't accept the 2 years NCB from admirals 10 month booster scheme.

Im 21, 22 in april and have no points on my license.
