3M tape is adhesive, its double sided trim tape. Its what the industry uses.

Whatever you do dont stick badges on with glue.

The tape is as sticky a glue but is removable if you need to. Glue will just wreck your paint.

I use the tape on my reg plates, and thats on plastic, its really good stuff.

great post and they look great. i work in  body shop and do a lot of work for a local car dealer, he puts bodykits on all his cars, he gets us to piant the chrome front grills on the new bmw 3 series, but he doesnt have, or will pay for the time to do it right like this, so have to arse about with diff primers b4 painting. this is the right way to do it. tho waiting on the chrome to come off is a pain.

Believe me, I have only broke even on the merchandise so far. You fancy stripping the chrome off all of the badges then we can talk   ;)

I don't mind that bit.

Although I totally forgot about painting the small side "mps" badges, much better than the "2.3"  in America.  Dealer wanted £15 each for the side mps :o  Time to floss  ;D

Hi, if I buy some tape do you have any advice for fitting to the back of the small mps badges?   Obviously I'll need to leave a gap but could be fiddly due to the size.  This is how it looked originally...thanks in advance

I can supply you with a scalpel blade that will alow you to trim the tape to replicate the original tape.

Thats what I do when I need to tape something up. I can pm you step by step instructions if you want.
