White fog lights
« on: November 25, 2008, 12:25:28 PM »
Hello

I am wanting to get fog lights which produce as close to white light as possible. I know I would need to upgrade to HID's to get a proper white light to match my xenons headlights, but can anyone recommand any decent halogen upgrades?

Also, how difficult is it to change the fog bulbs?

Thanks

were you looking to upgrade just for looks or actual performance increase in lighting ?

I had white 4300K Halogen bulbs in my previous 3 which looked super cool as they matched my aftermarket xenons, but during bad weather they were actually useless as i just couldnt see anything on the road with them lit up.

I would however recommend you getting some 3000K JDM yellow bulbs as they look cool and at the same time gives you enough visible light on to the road..

Here is a pic of how it looked like on my 3..

Do you have stock HID bulbs?  As Neel has said they are 4300k.

I have 'Ring Ultra Xenon' halogens in mine which I am very happy with, whiter but still very good performance:

Changing them is easy enough with a screwdriver and torch.

Nice one, they look like a good colour match.  How do you find their brightness?
