Piano Black Interior Trim
« on: June 09, 2020, 10:13:11 AM »
Hi. The Piano Black trim on my 2019 Mazda 3 is starting to show swirl marks and small scratches. Only had the car since February 2020 and been very careful with it. Looking around the web I know this is a common problem with all makes of vehicles that have any Piano Black trim. Any recommendations for a gentle cleaner that might get the marks out? I have just bought some Maguiars Plasrx, but very nervous about using it in case I make it worse!

Everything even midly abrasive will cause those scratches.....the hairy brush of a vacuum will do it brilliantly. I only wipe mine over with a microfibre cloth and use Meguirs interior cleaner (the more expensive one of the 2 they do) and TBH I have very few scratches on the shiny black.
Fine swirl marks can be a killer to remove  and if youre not careful you'll make them worse.
