Did the garage tell you the fault codes? When my abs went wrong my code was c0020:1 c 68 pump motor control but it threw up steering angle sensor code too.The abs unit was sent away and it looked like they changed the motor not the ecu.Mazda had a lot of problems with abs motor brushes in USA I’ve read.Mazda wanted 1200 for a new abs unit not including labour. Got it reconditioned including labour for just over 500.

no he haven't said what codes but he said it was showing multiple codes and suspect the abs but when he has it in he is going to check inputs and outputs on the abs ecu
