Model differences question
« on: January 25, 2020, 08:21:26 PM »
I’m looking at a mazda 3 again for a family car. It will be 2016/2017. I am trying to understand the difference in spec between the below:
- SKYACTIV-G Sport Nav Auto
- 2.0 Sport Nav 5Dr Auto

The first seems to be a better spec but I am not sure as the info seems hard to find. Also, do mazda offer a mazda extended warranty?

Hi Stu.  Long time no see. Hope you are keeping well.  Not sure on the spec differences, but I can confirm that Mazda do offer a extended warranty.

No difference in spec as far as I know up until October 2017 - same SA-G engine.  The gen-3 car only was updated from Oct 2017 - the most obious differences then being the front fog lamp cluster, centre arm rest (including changing from a traditional handbrake to an electronic one) mods and a few other minor trim changes.  The main actual dynamic change was the introduction of the 'G-Vectoring' system.

Cheers, seems odd as the g sport seem to have bose but the sport not? Also the arm rest is different.

Great link. Definitely has to be 2017 g sport. The changes are fairly quite significant from previous models.

As Ed said and confirmed on HJ's site, its Oct 2016 not 2017.  My typo (apologies) - It's for 2017 and out from the previous October.
