Reflector and projector headlight
« on: November 26, 2019, 04:05:56 PM »
Hi I have a 66 plate mazda 3 with the above headlight  configuration, does anyone  know what bulbs are in both the reflector and projector headlight. I have seen  H11 in both or d4s in the dipped,it's a bit confusing.Any help would be appreciated  as would what upgrade bulbs anyone  has used.

If in doubt, pull the bulb and have a look.

It should be in the owners manual, but there tends to be a few different options.

On the Gen 2 you literally undo the clip for the wire and turn 45 degrees to release the bulb. Hopefully they kept a similar system in the gen 3.

Looks like they have changed the light fitting on gen 3 from the gen 2 model, haven't got the bulbs out but handbook  says H15 for reflector  with daytime  running  lights, and H11 for projector.
And not much hand room  to get in to change.
