Soon to be Sport Nav 2.2 owner soon
« on: August 31, 2019, 08:15:57 PM »
Hi All,

Time for an upgrade to my trusty old 58 plate Civic, got my sights set on 3 Sport Nav 2.2, sites been invaluable source of information so thanks to everyone who’s posted, in particular the series on diesels/DPF’s etc.

I’ll be doing about 18k a year made up of 40 mile round trips to work which is 80% motorway and several trips to Manchester a year so I’m comfortable with still going diesel.

Strangely looking to buy has been counter intuitive as I’m looking at higher mileage, preferably above 60k on a 15/65 plate, just as I find one it’s get sold, bloody annoying!

Anyway going to test drive on Monday a 65 plate with full Mazda history on 43k, registered NOV 15 so roughly 12k a year, not ideal.

I’ll let you all know how I get on, cheers for now.

Mat.

Just on the whole DPF / mileage thing, mines at 145k now and last 7  years in a city 5 mile commute and no DPF issues, milage per year about 8k. In my case,  just have to listen for it and drive around everywhere in 2nd gear for a bit  :D

I have no doubt it will break 200k without a DPF issue if owner is aware (it’s about to be sold -very sad)

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Car was stunning, allowed me a 20 min test drive and it was smooth as butter, no problems apart from small scratches and some stains on the headlining above the passenger door but I’ll sort that out, got it for 9k, had to wait a week while they took it to Mazda to have the latest recall done.

Picked it up on Saturday and loving it.

Cheers Mat.
