Has anyone fitted a dash cam?   I'm curious where the wires fit?

I've not fitted one but my understanding is that the cable normally slides into the small gap along the top of the windscreen and then behind the A pillar (which you have to peel away, but I gather it is a fairly easy job). Where you route it then depends on whether you want to have it wired in semi-permanently by way of the fuse box next to the glove compartment or whether you want to be able to plug it in and out of the 12v lighter socket. The fuse box options seems preferable to me. I gather one can buy a simple adapter that piggybacks onto an existing fuse; you just choose one that is always active at the times you want the camera to be operational and off when you shut the engine off. I couldn't say which one, though. I imagine an electrical fitter could do it for a few quid if the thought of DIY scares you (as it does me).
So I was stood there trying to work out why the cricket ball was getting larger and larger...and then it hit me.
