3 new recalls on the DVLA site
« on: November 05, 2018, 08:45:26 PM »
FYI There are 3 new recalls for the '3' on the DVLA website, both our 2 x 3's are in the VIN recall ranges, this may explain why mine just died without warning.

Has anybody received anything official yet? Do you think I can claim back the costs incurred whilst mine was in for investigation at a Mazda dealer??  >:(

Hmm unless I'm missing something the "Vehicle may Stall" defect is the i-stop not restarting the engine after cutting it off.

Mine just died when attempting to pull away from a junction, and no i-stop had not cut the engine at the junction.

I remember, but the more info for on the one related to stalling states "MAZDA 3 ( 30/10/2013 –  28/02/2014) DEFECT:  Engine may not restart when customer expects after i-stop operation. Although check engine light on dashboard will illuminate". All the other ones I can see are not engine related.

I've had a letter through today about reprogramming the powertrain control module to protect against a fuel injector fault and installing the 'improved engine calibration software which will enhance the way your engine operates and improve the NVH/noise refinement characteristics of the engine'

The recall has been performed on my '3' this morning, it took less that 20 minutes for the tech to upgrade the software (my free coffee did not get chance to cool down!). Lets hope the problem has been fixed.
