How to find the paint colour of alloy wheels?
« on: October 21, 2018, 07:08:09 PM »
Hi,
I need to retouch some alloy wheels which were scuffed when I was forced to mount a kerb to allow an emergency vehicle to pass.   I've recently resprayed a wing mirror with an HVLP gun and am very pleased with the result.    I realise it's "silver" but I find silver is actually one of the hardest colours to match.  I've touched up a wheel in the past with rattle cans from Halfords and it was pretty clear which parts of the wheel had been resprayed so I'd rather buy the correct paint.

So: how can I find the correct colour paint for the alloys?  Is it marked on the wheel somewhere?  I have a 2015 Mazda 3.

Thanks,
Nick
