Power Steering Fluid
« on: March 26, 2018, 03:33:46 PM »
I have noticed that when cold I am unable to see any power steering fluid in the the top up reservoir.
When i drive the car and it warms up the level goes up between Max and Min.
Is this ok or do I need to top up?
Also I notice Mazda 3's and mine is a 2013 Tamura 1.6 use Automatic Transmission Fluid. Halfords recommend this: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-fluids/gearbox-oil/comma-power-steering-fluid-1l
Anyone know if this is the correct fluid?
Thanks

This is the correct one as given in the handbook,

https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-745-castrol-atf-dex-ii-multivehicle-automatic-car-gearbox-oil-formerly-tq-d.aspx

You can also use the more modern dex iii.
