Replacing battery in key?
« on: November 12, 2017, 06:54:01 PM »
How do I replace the battery in my keys? I have Mazda 3 1.6 TS (2009).
The keys are oblong and the key folds into the plastic.
How do you open these things and what battery do they take?
Cheers!

Flip the blade out, you should be able to see a small plastic square tab. You cab press this with a small screw driver. That allows you to remove the blade. Now thats gone you'll see an indentation on the button side. Again use a small screw driver to gently prize apart. You should now be able to see circuit board and battery. Battery is a CR1620.
