« on: April 16, 2007, 02:58:54 PM »
In a recent Evo there was a Grey Super-legra Lambo. Also the special edition RX-8 PZ is also grey, is grey the new silver???

Anyone with Carbon Grey here? Post your pics up please. Also whats 'mica' when referring to paint?

Mica is the metallic effect in the paint work.

That's the CG (Micra) Colour, and that's the colour that I'm getting yip yip - well nice!

Thanks for the reply Skid. The reason I ask is that in the brochure the colours are either Mica or Metallic.

I think it looks good too, thanks for posting the pic ;)

NP,

The Carbon Grey is the Mica paint work (their both basically the same, very subtle differences (Edit: its in the makeup of the paint finish))...both metically paint eitherway. I was initally choosing between the blue and grey, but thought I'd go with the grey.  I took more photos which you can see here:

http://www.chrismarks.co.uk/mazda/ - There's close ups (not macro) of the paint work on the driver sides doors of each car.

The brochure is a bit confusing, in the fact that it says it's an optional extra for Mica/Metallic, for what I took to mean as I could have Carbon Grey without the Mica finish... no, those other colours (i.e. anything other than White) is Mica/Metallic - and thus the extra 325 or whatever it is.

Cheers.
