If they are Halogen then you should have no problem with the MOT.  A great improvement.

Why ever Mazda stopped fitting Xenons is a mystery to me. I suppose they were trying to keep the on the road, sales costs down.

It's certainly better to have a car that started with HIDs than retrofit them. MOT wise I have a few concerns L.E.D. sides have had me fail the test in the past also the new headlamp bulbs aren't E marked, so er just as legal as HIDs but hoping they aren't gonna bother checking. Although going back to standard is a 5 minute job.

Next jobs would probably be fogs and mains, and rear plate lights and probably all the interior bulbs.

Almost feel embarrassed admitting this on a car forum...Halfords also if I had bothered to look at the online reviews apparently they are rubbish, so I'd see if mine last a month before recommending them, seem fine so far but very much an impulse purchase.

Looks a lot better, mate. The standard halogen bulbs are crap. I really need to get around to doing mine.

I didn't...I'd already checked 8 times before I took the photo  :P You've not known horror until you've buffed thin a white cloudy sealant off a white car on a bright day..

Tbf it's very easy to get it to come up like that these days, I washed, polished, waxed and sealed it in April. Now all I do is wash, rinse and dry and it comes up mirror finish. I fancy a clay bar as its picking up a lot of little spots you'd never notice on any other colour but it's a little too close to "detailing" for me.

Nooooooooooooooooo don't do it!!
I hada cooper S in pepper White,  a auto glym guy came to work to show us how to use their products on our fleet he showed us the clay detailing product & how effective it was ,,,,,, and it was so I bought some, then one Saturday I went into work to start the process,,,,,, 9 hours later!!!!!! I eventually finished!! It's laborious & id recommend if you did get some just do a panel at a time don't think it's a fast easy job. Hence to say mine hasn't seen light of day since!!

Gave mine a good polish and wax yesterday for the spring cleaning show today. The journey there and back has left my car pretty filthy already... :/
I was going to clay bar it, but really couldn't be bothered lol.

That's the thing, you drive it you undo all your good work, you don't then in my case at least it ends up with a thick coat of pollen from the 4 acres of oil seed in the reflection.

Tbf I walked past it just now on my way out and a bird had taken a dump across the bonnet and up over the roof..
