Decided to get a build thread on the go. Got quite a few things planned for my mazda so why not?

For starters I decided to plasti dip the badges black.

Wasn't a fan of the outcome so I sprayed them proper with gloss black.

Also ordered some team heko wind deflectors that I fitted today.

Plans:
Get the '3' badge back on
Refurbish the wheels

Some minor changes. Resprayed badges gloss white and sprayed fog surrounds gloss black.

Haven't bothered refurbishing the wheels yet. Think I'm just going to leave them for the winter and possibly get some new shoes for it next summer.

Bought a shift extender the other day. Looks naff with the stock knob, but will be buying a cobb shift knob as well an infocus shift boot soon to smarten it up.

Finally got a hold of some Eibach lowering springs, which I got installed the other day. Looks a ton better now, can't comment on the ride quality yet as I've literally only drove 3 mile to work since I've had them on.

Before.

After.

No more "Mind the Gap" welcome to the Gang Jakeyeu  8)
You will like the ride and handling it's so much better on cornering etc. Another couple of months and you can start on the 'new shoes' project.
Mines in tomorrow for new front pads.
Enjoy rest of weekend

Fair do's mate, not for everyone. :)

It's something I've planned from day 1 and definitely don't regret the purchase.

Thumbs up here. They will save some of the gravel/tar that our roads get covered in being all over your bodywork. I'm sick of washing mine and having to get the tar remover out!!! Cheap road repairs Suck!!! I've looked at them myself but couldn't justify £60+ for them. Now you need your wheels to finish the look off.
Ps where did you get the flaps from?

Cheers, Mogly. They are expensive, but worth it as they're long lasting and durable. Got them from tarmac sports off ebay who source them from the U.S. A heads up if you do consider it, you will have to drill holes into the inner plastic in order for the screws to go in. Personally I don't mind, but a lot of people don't like drilling holes into their car.
