Center console aux cap
« on: July 10, 2013, 07:10:30 PM »
Hi guys and gals,

a bit of a long shot, but I am looking for this part and I'm having no luck. I'm looking for this cap that sits inside the central console where the aux jack is (see the scan from the manual). I bought the car without it and I want to buy it somewhere, becuase all the small stuff I put on the top shelf sooner or later find the hole and ends up on the bottom one.

Anybody knows where I can get one from (or at least how to look for it - I've tried few phrases including "aux cap" "center console cap" etc and having no luck)

Why not just call up Mazda and ask them, if no one is responding here?

I doubt anyone will know the part number unless they've got access to a parts catalogue? Have you tried asking anyone breaking a Mazda 3 on ebay etc if they have the part you need?

Why not just call up Mazda and ask them, if no one is responding here?

I will do it, if I can't find it myself. The reason why I've not done it yet, is that they will have no clue what I'm talking about, I'm sure. It is bad enough to call and ask for some part that is less popular, but this? They will just have no clue (especially that it is not a current generation car).

I've walked into my local dealerships and asked their parts department for part numbers on my car, and I have an 04! It's their job to know the part numbers for our cars, of all generations.

Bring in the print out of what you're looking for and I'm sure they can help. Just bring your VIN number with you. :)

That's why I'm looking for the part number ;) It'd take much quicker to explain what I'm looking for over the phone if I'd know the part no :)

I've emailed a guy who's breaking 2008 model. Fingers crossed :)
