Mazda CX-5 Caught in transport to.. Romford Mazda
« on: May 16, 2012, 11:11:53 AM »
I came across a vehicle carrier in Gants Hill east London which seemed bound for Romford Mazda. On top there was a brand new CX-5 AWD. Looks pretty good..

Sam.. is this car in your showroom?

Took delivery of a white sport 2.0 ltr 1st of may will post photo,s near end of month, first 200 miles avg 35 mpg all urban, shift indicator informing to move up to 6th at around 40 mph 1750 revs, i was worried it wouldnt pull but it can no problem defo more torque as stated.

love the ride height and the type of alloys, info system quite good too.

Heated seats dont feel as powerful as those in our 3.

Funny one the phone rang today telling us of the launch date this weekend, apparently demand in japan is 8 fold what they thought it would be.

overrall well chuffed & i think mazda will improve sales in the uk this year.

No its just the 2 wheel version, thats the sky active badge on the boot, nice feature is the hill assist which i didnt know it had no roll back when swapping the right foot from brake to accelerator.

My local dealer (Johnsons of Oxford) have a 2wd 2ltr petrol as their demo CX-5. I am waiting to test the 170 diesel AWD. The car looks much better when your stood next to one than it does in any picture.
I'm picking mine up on Friday. I will give a comparison with the Tiguan I presently own.

you can get a comparision on the mazda website. Just done 380 miles avg 37.7mpg no bad for a petrol and better than my 3. Must be the 6th gear aswell as that sky active engine. The diesel should blow the competition out of the water.

Yes, Mazda do a comparison and there have been some magazines, eg German, which have compared the CX5 to the Tiguan. I meant a subjective yet also objective view. :)
