Wiper blade offset
« on: October 26, 2014, 12:34:23 PM »
I bought a Bosch front wiper blade replacement today, then noticed that the original blade has the arm mounting point offset front the centre line, whereas the replacement mounting is directly over the blade. That means that, when the driver side blade is wiping, it stops short of the edge of the screen. I can live with it, it's probably less than an inch different, but I wondered if anyone knows of  replacements which have the offset?

Thanks for the recommendation, I'm sure they're a better buy than the Bosch I bought from Halfords. Having looked online since I bought them I know what a waste of time and money it was going down there. Driver side was £19, they didn't even have the passenger side in stock, and I had to sit in the car for 30 mins before they opened because I forgot about the clock change!

However, in the picture of the wiper you suggested the mounting isn't offset, which is kind of what I was asking about. Although the offset at the mounting is only about 1/2", the geometry is such that when the driver side blade gets to the end of its sweep the top section is about 1 1/2" short of the previous end point. I can't be the only person that's noticed this.
