The first gen it is just beside the battery in the engine bay. Post a pic of your engine and we can identify it

Some images from my 2nd gen 1.6d below, if that helps. I don't know where the filter is myself, so don't know if it is visible in any of them.

1. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1T1yDKlAlQ5XqZsuUJlIekTVDaMFd8SwQ (air filter & turbo)
2. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1UXEjAYNml2ZwkgK-U66HPupPzR-TLOfk (from passenger side)
3. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Oo8rtaasXZWkml7-SXRs6219G-YhbVhl (driver's side - fuel lines, air intake manifold? That sensor on the right is the Mas Air Pressure sensor)
4. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Knl2MWhO31EVJQiMdlHLn4wI70r8WcQU (same as above, just slightly higher up)
5. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1cTriB9ZLWZwm50lzbSZgONkmIURju2Ps (most of the bay - you can see the rest in pic 1)
6. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1SZn3VBfqa89ZhSJrgtWipvksKXa2u915 (don't know that this one shows anything new)

I may well need to take an overhead one from the driver's side, as I think that may be where the fuel lines come from.

I haven't read the photo sharing link above, and am mindful these links won't work once I delete the images from my Google drive. I will try and read the proper image hosting/sharing link above; just wanted to get these up while I have a spare ten minutes.
