Thats interesting stuff. Its like rubber in a can. My only concern would be that once an edge starts to break it surely would peel?

Post by: Gavin on April 24, 2012, 09:05:26 PM
yeah it lasts about 5-8 months but you just peel it off and renew it.

What happens when you wash it? Wheels that need a bit of a brush to clean ect.

Being an ex car painter I find it hard to believe it will sit there for that length of time and not peel or lift.

Would love to see some results when you get it.

no its not infalable mate, it can take a jet wash but not to powerfull, and if you get any stone chips or blemishes you can just touch it up.

i thought i would have a quick look on the forum and have spent about a hour watching the dip your car videos.
great product and i have never seen this stuff before.
how long has this product been around ?
i doubt it would work on interior handles or armrests etc though which is a shame.

For my own amusement I would be interested to know which mod decided to delete the MPS Owners link.

I am a registered user on there but to be honest only look every now and again because I prefer the general topics over here, if not a little slow these days.

Was gonna maybe get some cans to do exatly what you have done, the badges.

Put me down for 2. Sure I will find some thing else to spray :P

Also a little o/t. The lip you have fitted? Is it the wrx one as i have heard with a little trimming it fits. Looks good reckon could trim it to fit the sport easy enough :)

i went to b&q a bought some double sided carper tape, brilliant stuff. i put it on the seal first then cleaned everthing and stuck it on. i cant remember the make of the tape, i will find out for you if your gonna do it. i got mine from ebay but it looks aload cheaper if you buy it from amazon direct from America.

Ye noticed the same on Amazon. Adding postage and shipping will no doubt put up the price a bit.

Will have a wee look in screwfix and B&Q see if I can source some of the door seal local before going over seas :)
