Hello Everyone!

I've just ordered my first brand new car and my first Mazda! Expecting to be able to collect it this month, a polymetal grey Mazda 3 Hatch sky active X with auto box and burgandy leather. I managed to talk the dealer into fitting the illuminating bits puddle lights foot well lights and led kick plates for free which makes it a great deal on 0% apr. Waiting to see if they can get me the US/Japan option rear spoiler.

I've been a petrol head for a long time and in my early driving career had a passion for Alfa Romeo and Ducati Motorcycles too. Our second car is a Skoda Fabia vrs (the 1.4 twin charged one) so we're keeping that for the go-kart fun that it offers and selling the wifes Seat Leon FR 2.0 TDI DSG that The 3 will replace as our luxury cruiser for touring europe.

Bike wise I have a Ducati Monster 1200S in Liquid concrete with the obligatory Termignoni full system and the wife rides a Ducati Scrambler Classsic in stock trim.

I used to be quite active on forums in my Alfa days but have been less so in recent years but we'll see what this little corner of the web is like! Right, thats enough from me, I look forward to Mazda ownership and cannot wait to play with the multitude of gadgets on these new generation cars.

Was thinking about trading mine in as mine needs new front tyres about £250. , due for its 6 year service at end of August £300 (not sure on the cost for this) and I have taken the Mazda extended warranty for the last 2 years £300 so would save about £1000 by trading in.  Looking at the GT Sport Tech,  going from manual to automatic, but not sure whether the extra money for the Skyactive X engine is worth it compared to the Skyactive G only do about 6000 miles per year so not to bothered about consumption.  Any thought would be welcome

I am unable to comment as have not driven the G but for me it was all about power, I'd rather have the 180 over the 120.

Turns out the 'Aero pack' is available in the UK although only in black according to my dealer so no colour coded options. The rear spoiler on its own is £401 fitted so decided to go for it as i think it livens up the rear end beautifully. Apparently its the same kit that will come standard on the new 'hot' MPS replacement turbo'd version when that comes out.

That looks very nice indeed.  I doubt we'll get the turbo model in the UK though by the looks of it.

That is a shame but at the same time I'm glad I wont have to deal with the regret of not waiting for one!
