Getting mine Changed tomorrow. BUT

Corrosion started year I - dealer suggested I leave until near end of warranty.

I did. Took the car to Donalds in Ipswich They took photos. I never heard a thing.

Took it to Underwoods Colchester They have got wheels for me but Mazda will only pay 70% as the car is out of warranty and "as a gesture of good will"

Full Mazda service history

I have 3 Mazdas on my drive

I detail and the car is immaculate!

My son bought a 9 year old Civic Type R. Corrosion on the roof (known issue).  Honda have corrected and resprayed it free of charge.

mazda need to learn something I think

Is there a known problem with Mazda 3 wheels corroding?

I think so- they are OEM manufactured for Mazda but its a general problem for most manufacturers with cars at this price point. Paints are waterbased and more prone to damage by stone chips etc... then once that beautiful road salt gets in there... the rest... they say... is history

So Ive taken the morning off and taken the car in to Mazda.

They're been sent/ ordered the wrong wheels.

I love the car. Mazda customer service sucks.

Tbf Citroen did literally the same thing when the DS3 wheels got replaced under warranty. Hopefully when the correct ones arrive they won't destroy 3 out of 4 tyres removing them and take a week to get replacements but insist on the return of the courtesy car on day 1..then return the car with the brand new wheels damaged...
