Skidplate query
« on: March 05, 2018, 03:10:38 PM »
Hi All,

Not sure skidplate  is the best name for it, the plastic cover that sits underneath the engine in case anyone is unsure ;D .

Just wondering if this should be completely flat/flush underneath? Just as with my Mazda 3 I have always seemed to have one part that is angled lower down and assumed this wasn't an issue otherwise Mazda would have picked it up before selling as an approved 2nd hand vehicle or its recent service.

Anyway, with the recent snow we've had I suspect the snow was catching on this part of skidplate that was slightly lower down and made it angled much further down to the point I can hear this grounding out over speedbumps or just generally bumpy roads...

Underwoods Mazda in Colchester have agreed to fit me in for a bodge fix tomorrow, but should I push for a proper fix if this is caused by a defect that was there when I bought the vehicle? And considering this is still under used car warranty  ;) .

Thanks,

PT
