Looking for an ACC source in the engine area
« on: August 03, 2017, 10:26:20 PM »
Hi, I have a 2010 Mazda 3 ts2.
I am in the process of changing my fog lights to DRLs.
I bought a controller and led fog lights. I connected every thing up using the live end of the of one of the fuses in the fuse box under the bonnet that was only live when the engine ran.
The DRLs worked as they should but engine management light came on.
A friendly garage diagnosed a MAS airflow sensor problem and reset the engine management light.
I don't know if the engine light coming on was as a result of where I connected the +12 or not but I don't want to risk another engine light on.
Is there anywhere under the bonnet that has ACC that I can safely use to power my DRLs?
Any assistance would be gratefully received.
