Spare wheel for 2014 M3?
« on: June 06, 2017, 05:16:53 PM »
I'm thinking of getting a second hand spare wheel for my 2014 Maz 3. don't want the huge expensive new wheel available for it.
Unless someone has got one they don't want  :D
Would a wheel from an older model suffice?

Any recommends where I might get one?

No worries now.
I bought a second hand wheel & Tyre, plus jack :)
Just laying in the boot.
But feel better having it rather than that rubbish spray stuff.

Is it from gen 2 or gen 3? Theoretically they both fit but would be nice if someone had actually tried the gen 2 one given they are cheap and easily available compared to the kings ransom mazda want for gen 3 wheels and jacks.

TBO I'm not sure what car the wheel came off.
It's not the usual alloy from my Gen 3.
I got it from Silver-lake scrap cars in Botley Hampshire.
The guy did look it up on his PC and said it is the correct one, It looks to be (size wise). but won't know exactly until I put it on.
So took a chance as was ....£56 including nearly new tyre & vat.
Mazda quoted me £365 I think for the OEM one   :o
But just a bit  big in the boot being 205/60, but C'est la vie

If it's a normal wheel from a scrap 3 they have the same offset e.t.c. I was thinking it was a space saver, for which the gen 2 is a 15 but the gen 3 is a 16 but same diameter overall.
