Although mine is a gen 1 it's the same on mine. I have used a jet wash to try and get in to clean this but due to the design of the light cluster it's hard to get in. It seems to be a water trap so the water does not run clear.

Yep, Take them out and give them a clean.

10mm socket on a 6" extension bar is all you need.

I use some of the flash wipes with bleach and it cleaned them up a treat.

Hi same here  >:(  (2010 Takuya) it's not pretty looking like the inside of a dirty goldfish bowl!!
I will spruce them up as you have done to.
But in the mean time,,,,, when I wash my car I leather it then use the air compressor to blast all the nucks n crannies dry (OCD) inc the rear light clusters and it works, so once cleaned hopefully this will keep em clean from the green slime!!!

Just cleaned my rear lights today I used a stiff bristled paint brush to losen the green mould and then a antibacterial wipe and repeated until clean. Pretty easy to remove & replace lights from boot and rear wings. Looks better already

IS it difficult to remove the rear light clusters, lots of crap needs cleaned out between the bodywork and light cluster,
