Probably the best option to ditch them, I find the touchscreens in the Gen 3 (in fact the whole infotainment system) pretty annoying if i'm honest. I had a brief play with the set up in the Gen 4 when I did a test drive in one recently and having no touch screen option wasn't a big deal. I only wish you had the ability to switch the bloody things off completely, I find the fact you can't other than using the mute button or pausing your plugged in MP3 device, stupidly annoying.

Makes no odds in my opinion...you still have to look at screen to confirm it's on the thing you want when using the rotary dial.

It's a different state of affairs with simple controls, I.e. press a button or twirl a knob but if you're setting sat nav etc it's still a huge attention grab.

I use the voice command function on mine usually tbf or set it before I set off.

Although mine being after market..I can switch to off.
