Hi, really could do with some Mazda 2 help. In March this year my daughter bought a 14 plate Mazda 2 with just short of 25k on clock. Had it serviced at Dealer 7/8 weeks ago. 2days ago get call for help from her as car broken down. On examination it appears that brakes have seized while she was driving. Car gets recovered and taken to dealer, as car is being unloaded recovery guy notices that brakes have loosened a bit. Garage regreases callipers and take car for a short (1.5mile test drive). All appears ok - until daughter comes to take car home 4.5 miles down road brakes seize again with car coming to stop from 50mph in about 30-40 meters, with a lot of heat coming from front brakes, plus smell of burning pads. We return to car in the morning and brakes appear to have freed themselves - to be safe we get car recovered back to dealer. Dealer has now contacted us to say they have stripped brakes, reassembled taken car for 5 mile drive and still can't find anything wrong. Daughter is now too scared to drive car in case brakes lock again.
Anyone any ideas on what could be the problem???
