Admiral and elephant are the same company so won't be any difference there. I've been with both previously with no complaints. Cannot comment about Bell.

Had Admiral insurance for 3 years now, no complaints. I found them the cheapest for young drivers by atleast £500

Ive just switched to Admiral from Aviva. They quoted me £400 cheaper than Aviva's renewal price!

Thank god i now have a UK call centre. The hopeless c**ts at Aviva are awfull, and do not listen to you or understand what you say. They are like robots programed to do certain things in a certain way.

It took me 40minutes on the phone trying to cancel my policy last night, and that included talking to two operatives then being passed to the Supervisor/Manager. Lets just say English wasnt their first language!
Im sure it was an English call center when you join Aviva, then it goes to a forgein one once you start.

Admiral on the other had were great, very helpfull, and tried multiple options to bring my premium down. They called back on time and understood all requierments.

Worked the other way for me. After a few years with Admiral, have now gone to Aviva. Admiral were coming in at £100 more. When I rang to cancel policy, they offered to reduce by £30, a case of too little too late, should have been offering best price in first place to a 'valued' customer. Been with aviva before, and also have house insurance with them, and life insurance. Always been spot on. £250 fully comp with protected no claims. Happy days.

bell are the same company too as they all share the same building!!
i switched between the three for many years until i come to claiming for an accident that saw my car off the road for nearly 6 months FFS before it was finally repaired!!!
And after that so scum nicked my wife's civic R & we were carless for 2 months and they cancelled our policy even though it had only renewed 3 days previous
both claims were through Elephant and i cant say a good word about them

Just to give info on my experience with Admiral.  As long as you don't need them to do anything apart from insure you, then you'll be fine.  They can even manage to amend details, no problem.  But when I had a claim, they didn't tell me anything about what was happening, even after it had all been settled, I wasn't informed.  Then when renewal came, I checked the documents and noticed that they said that 'I' had the accident.  I called them to say no, it was my other half.  It took a few more phone calls before they were able to change this on their system.  Pathetic really.  Then a few months after renewal, they send me a letter saying that I didn't tell them about the accident when I renewed and so have increased my premium.  Whoosh, the extra money was gone from my bank!  I phoned them back, had a bit of a heated chat about it as they stood their ground and said that I was lying.  Eventually, they said they would check back as they record all conversations, to which I replied, if I don't get to also hear the recording, what good would it do me.  Anyway, a few days later, I got a phone call and surprisingly, an apology.  Whether they really had recorded the conversation, I'll never know.  Oh and I also pointed out to them I was with them when my other half had the accident so it should already be on their system, but no, apparently their system doesn't work like that.  And oddly enough, a month or so later, a colleague at work had the same thing.  They'd increased his premium because apparently he hadn't told them of his accident, which still hadn't been settled.  So it seems to me that this is not a one off incident.  If I can help it, I'll never use them again, but money talks!  When I switched to another insurer, I asked for a copy of my other halfs no claims bonus.  They said fine, they'll send it.  All they sent me was my no claims bonus which I already had.  So another phone call, then they tell me this time that it's a 'special thing' they do, letting named drivers get no claims bonus and as I'm leaving their group of companies, it would be meaningless and so my partner had to start from zero years no claim bonus.  It's nice of them to tell you all of this stuff at the beginning!  Rant over!

yep that about sum's them up !
Unfortunately my wife has just taken a policy with Admiral & between them & Aviva caused stress after only 2 weeks as aviva failed to send NC proof which resulted in Admiral wiping out her 14 yrs NCD & helping them selfs to £166 out of the bank FFS !! >:(
