Makes more sense then, good luck with it.

With a second child on the way, I need my cars to be a little more practical and couldn't give it the treatment (and a garage) it deserves.

So some poor bloke traded his beloved MX-3 in, got a very poor trade in value, only for Sammy to drive off laughing!

I thought you had to get rid of the 323 because you couldn't afford to run it?

small update today...
fitted my ram cold air feed kit for the mx, in order to keep the cone filter as cold as possible as its quite close to the ehxaust manifold, took me just over an hour makeing sure that ever thing was secure and makeing sure every thing was fitted properly..

few pics...

the scoop..

veiw from under the car....

the air feed pipe..

the idea of it is very simpe, as you drive forward the scoop collects air at the front and pushed it down the tubeing up to your intake, meaning your intake is getting fresh cool air from the out side, the only down side is the ram air intake adds a little weight "but still doesnt weigh as much as the standard intake box, and it also allows a bit more dirt into your engine bay, meaning k&n recon you should clean the filter ever 40,000 miles as apposed to 60,000..

ive not driven the car since i fitted it but it should work fine..

Good out of the box thinking, until you try to go through the ford in your avatar.
I also think you might have a problem when we have our usual English weather. Travelling at speed on wet roads your "intake" is just going to love shoving water into your engine compartment. Not sure you will though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the scoop UNDER the car is made of plastic, yes? And it's rubbing up against METAL, correct?

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't want metal and plastic touching, especially if the metal gets hot and melts the plastic.

Not sure that's an ideal place to put the scoop Sam. There's a reason you don't see car companies placing that kind of item in that spot.

The biggest problem you're gonna have with that is water making its way to the filter, nice enough idea though.  I think you should try and get it positioned under the number plate somewhere.

Look at this MX5 on the 10th pic up from bottom of the page, the engine bay is a couple of pics below.  I think that car looks sweet, nothing too fancy.  Not keen on the orange indicators though.
