« on: August 02, 2010, 08:40:46 AM »
Was it just me or was the whole british sports car thing last night very funny?!   The number plates, The Stig climbing out of the crushed AX  and what happens when you put an XR3 in a car wash!?!  :D :D

For my tastes at times, it a little too dumbed down and scripted. That said overall its very good (and I loved the Senna section last week).

I missed the number plates to be honest but I think that it was just about the right amount of comedy mixed in.

Yeah it was clearly very scripted and faked but I think that was the point for this one. Still very funny  ;D

thats what i like about the show, its a good car show and a good laugh at the same time, to me fifth gear was allways a little too serious and driven etc wasnt serious enough.. haveing said that i do like the used car roadshow  O0

Top Gear has really forgotten about the normal motorist.

Its nice to see a supercar, but honestly in my opinion I would be refreshing to see models that are more in joe publics price range.

I think thats where 5th gear and the used car show comes in, although I rarely see either of those.

used car road show is noramly on itv 3 after the sait on sat :)!

i did see an old episode of top gear a while back when they were road testing cars such as peugeot 106's citroen bx's and ford orions...

but i think what they do now is done to make the show more appealing to other people such as women and children, becuase i dare say befor the comedy etc came to the show it was mostly a 20-70 year old man's show!?

How many time can you watch a 150k+ supercar going sideways?

Sam that must have been an old top gear - a ford orion??  Which side was that on History?
