63 plate mazda 3 2.2(185) sportnav
« on: May 18, 2017, 01:28:09 PM »
Hi all just bought my mazda about 3 weeks ago . I've had a 3 before on a 54plate(2.0 sport sedan, which died eventually after 200000 miles) and my family have owned various mazda3 including a couple of MPS models. After deciding to go back to a Mazda I had always fancied a 2.2 185 and was lucky enough to pick one out which has the day time leds on the front from factory.

I've been looking already at what I can do to it from power upgrades to exterior upgrades. I really want to keep the mods sensible like some splitters and a map and intake etc done. Anyone got any suggestions or owned this particular car before?

Hi, having owned a 2.2D for the last 7 years the main thing I would be concentrating on would be finding a way to make sure your extra power ends up on the road. I've only ever had a diesel tuning box but since the car can easily overwhelelm the wheels from stock I'd definitely be considering it. I've no idea what would help though - less suspension movement, more rubber??
