Door Mirror spider invasion

Hi Guys
I got a '59 plate sport 2.2 D 185, well happy.
Last few months i have been accommodating spiders in the door mirrors, with a fresh web every morning! tried blasting them with a hose pipe, they just laugh at me.
Is removing the mirror glass easy, if so, can anyone give me some pointers
Many thanks

Before you start ripping the mirrors apart, I'd try a different option.   Spiders are not too keen on WD40  However mirror mechanisms quite like it.  A generous squirt with the thin pipe (supplied) around the edge of the mirror glass, might well send the little blighters running.
Look at life through the windscreen, not the rearview mirror.

The door mirrors of my previous cars have spiders living in them too!! I do let them stay though...

I haven't owned my 3 long enough, so I'm not sure whether the spiders will find it good enough.
