Removing wing mirror cover
« on: March 06, 2015, 06:55:22 PM »
Anyone know how to remove the cover on the back of wing mirror.  Ive removed the whole mirror unit rom car, removed mirror itself, taken motor out everything !- pushed all the tabs down and the cover still don't wanna move, scared something is going to snap.  Most of the tabs are actually broke off and its still doesn't want to budge??

If its the same car colour plastic cover as on the Series 2 Sport it just pulls off. No need to touch anything else let alone remove the mirror housing from the car.

I discovered this years ago when I accidentally knocked one off (glancing blow from a roadside bush at 40 mph and it got stuck in the bush). Just pushed it back and its stayed there ever since.
