Adaptive Front Lighting System Failure
« on: February 16, 2015, 10:57:11 AM »
Hi, I have a 2009 Gen 2 Mazda 3 with Adaptive Front Lighting System / HID's. About a week ago the AFS light started flashing and although I could switch AFS off and back on again to get it working it wasn't long until the light started flashing again permanently. Anyone had any similar problems? Will the dealer be able to tell exactly what is wrong from the computer or will it be a "it might be this, it might be that" kind of scenario costing me significant amounts of money?

Obviously I can live without the cornering function of the lights but does anyone know if the levelling is controlled by the same mechanism? My car has no manual lamp levelling and did notice with a boot full of tiles that my beam looked a little high.
