I've just sent him this:

Hi - will this fit a Mazda 3 MPS, Dec 2006? Also, will it work OK
with the Bose sub, CD multichanger, steering wheel controls and
leave the A/C and trip computer display unaffected? Does the CD
player play mp3s? Finally (!) do you have any more pics, manual
or installation instructions you could send? Thanks, Rob

I'll post back when/if I get a reply. Forgot to ask about the GPS software - is it a (ahem) 'download'?

The original unit is quite easy to take out, but I'm not entirely convinced the GPS aerial and camera gubbins is exactly slot-in. Some good guides in this thread I think.

And the swift reply: "Hi, sadly, this unit is limited and wont link up with CDC, AC trip computer. It will link up to the steering wheel controls and BOSE system. Whats your email address and ill send you the manaul. It will play MP3s."

I'm not too bothered about the CDC. Shame about the AC/etc display - rules it out for me.

Ahhhhh !!! Confused.com!!!

I've been researching on the net for an aftermarket Sat Nav that can be retrofitted to my MPS 3 I fancied the flip up one because the factory fitted one is. However I have then seen the one that can be fitted into where the Radio currently is.

Not sure what to do now as my dash is all Piano Black and the double din only seems to come in matt black and the 7" flip up screen people have said it's not that good as a sat nav.

Can somebody who actually have these devices give me there own opinions on them as it would be greatly appreciated.

I tried calling Mazda UK but spoke to another idiot that didn't care again.

Not sure whether to start a new thread on this - but has anyone tried:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AES-7-MAZDA3-SAT-NAV-CAR-RADIO-DVD-PLAYER-GPS-MAZDA-3-/320523978123?pt=UK_Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_In_Car_Audio_Players_PP#ht_9862wt_1002

(ebay item 320523978123)

Doesn't seem too bad at £350 and good feedback on the 3 sold.

Rob

This is the one I'm getting:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250552461916&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123

OEM Quality from the pics he sent me plus its Digital TFT so allot clearer than the analog. Just waiting for the money now lol

Did you or did anyone else get one of these or similar?

Don't have the cash for it now, and with a baby on the way probably won't for a little while but it's something I definitely want to look into

I bought the Eonon D5102 for £230 head rest monitors £160 and car specific rear camera £37 and had it professionally installed for a further £150.

It definitely looks the part and fits well. Kids love watching the films in the back.
Ipod interface is pretty naff and there is most definitely a loss in sound quality from the original Bose system that I guess is to be expected. Still very loud, just lacking the depth it used to have  :(

Mine didn't come with an SD card with the maps for GPS on which I am desperately trying to figure out the cheapest way of doing. Doing my canister in a bit, but no long journeys in the near future so I can wait a while.

Overall a good system, it's just the sound thing that lets it down.

Oh, and if you enjoyed your info button for all that MPG related stuff, you can kiss goodbye to that as well  :'(

Hi, im a newbie on here, but as a birthday present to myself, i just bought this.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150668643904?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

also added the 3 year warranty. i have seen and read the reports on these, but decided to bite the bullet and just buy it as i can't see another bluetooth head unit that i like.

its due to arrive in the next day or two, so i will give a full report as and when its been installed along with my sub, and i have had a bit of a play with it.

my 2007/57 sport 2.0D has the BOSE. so i am trying to find the instructions on how to hook the BOSE up to the unit.

Hello,
I'm from Italy and I have a Mazda 3 1.6D Black Mica. I would buy a Nav SAT 7" for my car, I view Eonon D5102 but trip computer (INFO and Clock don't work). Do you confirm that?
So I view CASKA CA3635(I would silver colour) and trip computer works very well. I would say Where I can buy CASKA 3635 silver at good price? Can you help me?
Are there any sat nav for Mazda 3 that trip computer works well?  If I buy a Caska 3635, I can install anyone DVB-T receiver and anyone wireless rear cam? Or only specific models?
I hope for your help. Thanks a lot. Ah, excuse me for my bad English. O0

Welcome to the forum...Can't say I've heard of anyone having one of these. Looks good though.
